Communications and Special Events

Transactions

PACB members receive industry-related information through TRANSACTIONS, our monthly newsletter. Special editions of TRANSACTIONS are also produced on a periodic basis. They cover special events and activities and provide in-depth coverage and information. TRANSACTIONS is a direct link between our members and includes updates, legal briefs, guest articles on "hot" topics, and interesting articles on the people and institutions of PACB. It also acts as a bulletin board, listing vital information on conferences, meetings, and seminars offered by the Association. Click here to view select articles from this month's edition of TRANSACTIONS. Click here to see the 2010 Editorial Calendar.

Annual Convention and Exposition

The emphasis at our Annual Convention is on networking and education exclusively for the "community" banker. Three and a half days of learning, networking with other community bank leaders, and exciting social events highlight this annual event. Our Convention Exhibit Center focuses attention on the up-to-date products and services needed in today's community banks. More than 50 vendors take part each year in the Exhibit Center.

Mark your calendar for the 134th Annual Convention to be held August 23-26, 2011 at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, NV. If you have any questions concerning the PACB Annual Convention please contact Saundra Cunningham at - (717) 231-7447 or E-Mail saundra@pacb.org.

Community Banking Week

Community Banking Week in Pennsylvania is part of an overall campaign to inform the public about the many contributions made by community banks throughout the Commonwealth. This annual celebration commemorates the vital role of community banks in our neighborhoods and across the country. Our members spread the word about the importance of their institutions to their hometowns by holding special events, talking to civic and school groups, and meeting with the press.

Community Service Awards

In keeping with the PACB mission and the civic responsibility, PACB feels it is important to applaud the outstanding efforts exhibited by our membership as they strive to give back to their individual communities. As a result, the Community Service Awards were developed to formally recognize outstanding civic leadership and service.
